On Monday, in Visakhapatnam at the district collectorate during the grievance meeting events took a dramatic turn a woman decided to get the attention of the authorities, she starts climbing the top of the cell phone tower and started threatening to jump off if her petition fell on deaf ear.
Ulusu Lakshmi (36), a resident of Ambedkar Colony in Malkapuram here and a native of Nakkapalli village, Nakkapalli mandal in the district is the petitioner, suppose to take action according to her petitions are not taken as if she was a working as a tailor.
Furthur Lakshmi added by saying that she started facing problems after her husband U Nageswara Rao was a mason by profession has died two years back.
According to Lakshmi, last year 40 sq. yard of land in Ambedkar colony which belongs to her and her husband was taken over the ownership of the land by the neighbor, Bhushanam and also he sold the land to the third party recently for the amount of six and a half lakhs.
And also she added that when this issue was forcing her to run over to get back his ownership of the 40 square feet of land, their joint family agriculture land of 1 acre in Nakkapalli was seized by the Gora Sathya and his two sons, who were the residents of the same village.
After the district Collector Pravin Kumar has given the guarantee to take action on her petition, Lakshmi agrees to climb down from the cell tower.
Lakshmi had claimed that she had filled 6 petitions with the district collectorate, highlighting her grievances.
The petitioner Lakshmi also requested to the district collector to release funds under a government housing scheme, by that she can be built a house for herself and her two daughters, who are still studying.
