Whats App appears to be down for a wide number of users across the world. Users from different countries are reporting problems on Twitter with the hashtag #whatsappdown. We’re facing problems in India as well, with no messages going through, and navigating to the Help > Contact Us section shows the above error message. Crowd-sourced service outage site, Down Detector, is also showing problems, with cases being reported across the world.
Users have taken to other forms of social media to complain they can’t use the service as the global problem emerged.Reports of problems connecting to the app are continuing to rise across the globe.
Over 3,000 Brits have reported issues with the messaging app and hundreds of people across the glove are also struggling to connect.
The main problems users are experiencing is with connecting and sending or receiving messaging.
The issue had reportedly been spotted on Friday morning in different parts of the world, and we wait for official word from the company on the seeming malfunction.
Whats App has confirmed it is working on a solution to the problem.
The app crashed at about 8am with people across the country reporting it was down. By 9am users across London and the south east said the service had returned – while others across the midlands and up north suggested it was still playing up.
The outage appears to have hit much of Europe and some areas in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Reports of issues with the app have also come in from China, Saudi Arabia, India, the USA and Sri Lanka. Many users in countries outside of the UK were still reporting it down an hour later.
