Several areas across the State received rainfall on Tuesday


Monsoon Rainfall 

A low-pressure area has formed over East Central Bay of Bengal and it is likely to focus into a depression and move towards North Andhra-South Odisha coasts and cross the coast by September 20, weathermen have expressed.

Under the effect of it, they expressed, isolated heavy rain is very likely to occur in Vizianagaram, East and West Godavari and Krishna district, Srikakulam, while the coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema may experience thunderstorms associated with lightning on Wednesday,”

The IMD officials noted, adding that the condition may be happening for two more days.

The southwest monsoon normal over coastal Andhra Pradesh and active over Rayalaseema. Many areas throughout the state received rainfall on Tuesday. In the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday Vizianagaram district recorded 6 cm of rainfall, noted the highest rainfall in the state. In Dharmavaram, Rayalaseema, Anantapur, Kambadur received a rainfall of 6 cm each.

Fishermen cautioned
For the present, CWC (Cyclonic Warning Centre) here has adviced the fishermen against venturing into the sea.
