A road show was conducted at the Gajuwaka branch of SBI (State Bank of India) on Tuesday as part of the Vizag Digital Dhan Sankalp project, the ability to access of the government of AP, to prepare Vishakapatnam as the country’s ‘first less-cash city’ in India.

Mr. Diwakar expressed SBI have a partnership with GVMC to actively encourage the use of digital transactions by merchants. He expressed SBI in association with Visa would take action as a banking partner; this is prepared to make vizag as the first ‘less-cash’ city in the country.
SBI would make use of its branch network and with marketing teams to actively encourage the digital payment mode among traders by explaining them regarding the advantages of digital payment options to their customers. Mr Varma expressed the large branch network of SBI would come in handy in the activity that supports of digital payment options among business people.
GVMC has about 7,500 employees, along with contract workers, people would also be utilized for bring in to existence awareness among the traders on the advantages of digital transactions. G.V. Shastry SBI RM and liaison officer R.R. Naidu were present.
