Refreshing lounge was launched by Visakhapatnam MP K. Haribabu, in the presence of Divisional Railway Manager Mukul Saran Mathur and HPCL Visakh Refinery Executive Director A.S.V. Ramanan on the Gnanapuram-side of the Visakhapatnam Railway Station on Wednesday.

The refreshing lounge was constructed at a cost of RS.75 lakh. Of this, RS.49.50 lakh was contributed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Visakh refinery from its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds under Swachh Bharat Mission.
The lounge is constructed with high-quality fittings and finished in a record time of 3 three-and-a-half months. A diamond-shaped elevated ramp provides the opening to the lounge from Platform No. 8.
The idea of Digital museum is to showcase the heritage of Indian Railways through a short movie clip on digital LED screens. Apart from short films, heritage locomotives, awareness campaign videos, photographs of heritage buildings and many more would be displayed to create knowledge among people on the rich heritage of Indian Railways. A digital museum, set up at the old main entrance on PF-1 side, was also commissioned by Mr. Haribabu.
The LED screen (video wall), costing RS.2 lakh, was sponsored by HPCL, Visakh Refinery, under Swachh Bharat CSR funds.
