On Friday, the Department of School Education of Andhra Pradesh released a notification from the Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee 2018 (AP DSC 2018). They declared that in total there are 7675 applications were available for teacher posts of which 4341 for Government Zilla Parishad and Mandal Parishad Schools. 1100 for Municipal Schools and 909 for Model Schools.
Also, there are 800 vacancies for Tribal Welfare Schools and 175 for Andhra Pradesh Residential Educational Institutes. Interested candidates can register themselves through an official website cse.ap.gov.in between the time period November 1 and 16, 2018.
Qualifications and Eligibilities :
(1) A candidate for selection to the posts of Teachers shall possess the academic and professional/ training qualifications as follows:-
(a) Must be fully qualified for the post applied for and in possession of all Certificates as on the last date prescribed in the notification for submission of applications.
(b) (i) Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (or) other equivalent certificates recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
(ii) Must possess Academic degrees of Universities recognized by University GrantsCommission (UGC).
(iii) Teacher Education Courses recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
(iv) Distance Mode courses offered by Universities and Deemed Universities recognized by Joint Committee comprising University Grants Commission(UGC), Distance Education Council (DEC), All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and with jurisdiction to operate such courses in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
(v) Special Education Courses recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
(vi) The candidates should have either been qualified in earlier AP Teacher Eligibility Test (APTETs) OR should obtain minimum qualifying marks in the present TET cum TRT for Secondary Grade Teachers.

Separate notifications have been given for posts in a day and residential schools. The option of exam centre’s can be chosen between Nov 19 and 24. People can opt any among various categories for the online test which will be conducted from December till January 2,2019. The highest number of vacancies are there for secondary grade teachers. They are nearly 3666 available posts for secondary grade teachers. Exams for these posts will be held for 6 days and will be held in the last slot from December 28 to January 2, 2019.
The test will be done in two sessions per day.One in the morning and other in the afternoon. The exams for School assistants, graduate teachers, language Pandita and Physical educational teachers is for 2.5 hours. However, exam duration for Postgraduate teachers, principals, music, craft, art and drawing and for secondary grade teachers is longer by 30 mins.
Online mock tests will be made available on the official website from November 17 to welfare the candidates appearing for the test in online mode.The initial key will be released within 48 hrs of the eam and final key will be released after a week.The results of the respective exams will be declared after 2 days of the exam date, as per the schedule.
