District collector Hari Jawahar Lal said that the administration of Vizianagaram district is distributed pattas for podu ( it is one of the traditional systems of cultivating land by burning some of the forest areas) land among forest communities of 81,836 acres for the podu farmers.
Among the forest dwellers for the first time, plain area pattas are distributed. According to the Act of Recognition of Forest Rights or the Forest Rights Act, he spoke in the at the Collectorate about the implementation of Scheduled Tribes and other Traditional Forest Dwellers.
He announced at the revenue office that the podu farmers can apply for the patta for their land which there are framing for their land ownership. He also said that among 211 persons, 649 acres land is distributed in S Kota mandal ( Daraparti, S Kota, Mulaboddavar village ). Still, there are 1,198 Applications from the framers for the land of 1,937 acres should be distributed
