Hindustan Shipyard Limited is likely to bag the order for medium refit and life certification of a Russia-made submarine by year-end, Chairman and Managing Director Rear Admiral (retired) L.V. Sarat Babu said on Thursday.
He disclosed this at a meeting organised to mark the 77th foundation day of HSL. On this occasion, he inaugurated the largest rooftop solar power project to generate one megawatt. The project has a capacity to generate two megawatt and the second phase construction will start in July.
The CMD said HSL had bagged the contract through competitive bidding for two diving support vessels amounting to Rs. 2,020 crore and four 50 bollard pull tugs costing Rs. 230 crore for the Indian Navy.
