Eastern discom trains power employees from 13 countries

A team of 26 employees of several companies power utility companies from 13 countries visited the APEPDCL (Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited) headquarters in city on Wednesday.

The power utility employees from Bhutan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Botswana, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Mozambique among others studied the best practices followed by the eastern discom.

Transparency in supply
The programme is being sponsored by Union Ministry of External Affairs through the REC Institute of Power Management &Training (REC-IPMT) in Hyderabad.

APEPDCL Chairman and Managing Director H.Y. Dora accorded a grand welcome to the members and explained about how the discom had achieved the lowest transmission and distributions (T&D) losses advanced solutions, bringing clarity in power supply. Programme Director B Seshu Kumar, IT wing officials and others participated in this programme.
