3 visitor rescued by marine cops from Rushikonda beach


Visakhapatnam at Rushikonda beach three tourists from Chhattisgarh were rescued by Vizag marine police when they were squeezed deep into the sea by huge waves on Monday. All the three tourists were shifted to hospital where their condition is said to be out of danger. According to sources at the time of the incident, all three of them were under the influence of liquor.

Three persons Samanth Sahoo (28), Hemanth Sahoo (48) and Nikhil Sahoo (18) of same family had come to the Vizag on their jolly trip along with their family members. On Monday they allegedly consumed liquor before venturing into the sea for a bath but the huge waves took them deep into the sea, said by Marine cops.

Locals and the visitors of the beach informed the marine cops on the duty after noticing them being trapped in the sea waters at Rushikonda beach. Marine cops with the help of the expert swimmers rescued the trio and shifted them to hospital.
