The GCC’s (Girijan Cooperative Corporation’s) trying to tie up with Walmart to promote its products will soon, bear fruit with the retail big place and beginning order of GCC products worth Rs.10 lakh which it will start sell from the third week of March.
Walmart try to initially sell GCC products such are Bilwa Sherbat, Araku Coffee and Nannari in its retail shops and planning to sell other products too, Walmart initially introduce GCC products at its store in Rajahmundry after some days in Hyderabad too.
Nannari Sherbat was introduced by GCC a couple of years ago and the sales nearly six lakh bottles in the first year.
The sales of its instant Araku Coffee sachets 2 grams and 10 grams sachets are increase sales with the first batch of 1.75 lakh sachets sold out within one month being introduced. The GCC is now planning to sell the next batch of 1.75 lakh coffee sachets, Akella Ravi Prakash managing director expressed in press meet.
GCC planning to improve their sales nearly Rs.5 crore to Rs.10 crore through global retail huge Walmart in the next few years, Moreover Walmart is planning to expand their network in AP also as it has been finding for a perfect place in Visakhapatnam and some other states.
Present market is slowdown position due to various factors including GST, we achieved Rs.230 crores turn over only. Moreover the action of obtaining of raw material is starting now. We are expecting much turn over around Rs.40 crores to Rs.50 crores turnover in February and March to achieve a total turnover of Rs.275 crore,” Akella Ravi Prakash GCC MD expressed.
