The city temples are looking more beautiful with flower decoration for Maha Sivaratri on Tuesday.
Bilwa patra pooja, bhajans along with host of devotional programs will be conducted with mark the occasion Sri Uma Neelakanteswara Swami Vari Devasthanam at Nakkavanipalem rush with devotees ahead of the festival as special puja start a couple of days ahead. Maha Sivaratri Mahotsavamu starts at 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday. It will be followed by ‘Mahanyasa Poorvaka Visesha Rudrabhishekam and ‘Dasa sahasra bilvarchana’ at the temple.
Simultaneously, Kali Mata temple near beach road rushed with lot of devotees and T. Subbarami Reddy Lalithakala Parishath is all set to conduct ‘Mahakumbhabhishekam’ of one crore ‘Siva Lingams’.
Cultural programs along with Kuchipudi dance performance by Shobha Naidu, and presentation of Sri Krishna Rayabaram by Gummadi Gopala Krishna, will be conducted.
Actor and TDP MLA from Hindupur N. Balakrishna, Meena and Gautami, comedian K. Brahmanadam, actors Manchu Mohan Babu, among other actors will participate.
MP T. Subbarami Reddy visited the venue and took part in the arrangements on Monday.
Mahanyasapoorvaka Rudrabhishekam will be conducted at Sri Maha Ganapathi Prasanna Venkateswara Ayyappa Shiridi Sai Baba Devalayamulu, Seethammadhara.
Sri Sathya Sai Seva city samiti and Sri Sathya Sai Seva organization will organize the ‘Maha Sivaratri Mahotsavam’. The celebrations will start at at 8 a.m. at Sri Sathya Sai Prema Sadan Mandiram, MVP Colony. Maha Rudrabhishekam and bhajans will continue till Wednesday evening.
Vaidika Vignana Vipanchi Darmika Seva Sangham is congregating ‘Bhaje Sivoham’ at Sankara Mattam, Dwarakanagar at 9 p.m.
