On Thursday District Collector Pravin Kumar visited villages in Paderu, Hukumpeta and G. Madugula mandals in the Agency area.
The Collector visited at Minumuluru coffee plantations and nursery and interacted with farmers. At Marella in Hukumpeta mandal, he enquired from children in the anganwadi center whether they were getting milk, eggs and other nutrition supplements.
On being told that they were not receiving them, Mr. Pravin Kumar asked officials concerned to take action against the anganwadi teacher, the supervisor, the Child Development Project Officer and the GCC salesman.
In G. Madugula mandal, he inspected the construction of toilets and NREGS road works. He held a meeting with officials and people of 17 gram panchayats and reviewed the progress of various works.
ITDA Project Officer Ravi Pattanshetti, Sub-Collector D.K. Balaji, DWMA Project Director Kalyana Chakravarthi, ZP CEO Jayaprakash Narayan and officials of Rural Water Supply, Housing, Panchayatraj and ITDA participated.
A two-day Maths Festival inaugurated by Mr. Pravin Kumar at Lochalaputtu Tribal Ashram Welfare School for Boys. Maths make more student-friendly, and help to teachers by use teaching aids and raise standards of education in mathematics in the Agency area, ITDA, Paderu, is organizing the festival.
In this festival there are 108 ashram schools, 216 teachers and 366 students are participating. It’s to create awareness among 670 teachers from government primary schools. The ITDA PO and Tribal Welfare Deputy Director G. Vijay Kumar and others accompanied the Collector.
At the ITDA office at Paderu a review meeting in the evening with officials, Mr. Pravin Kumar said permission would be given for construction of community toilets at Paderu. Under material component in NREGS, the engineering wings of Tribal Welfare and Panchayat Raj should take up works worth 75 crore and 25 crore respectively and complete them.
