In ordering to plan a healthy coastal management, Ministry of Environment, sustainable tourism, Forest and Climate Change, conceived an integrated coastal management scheme – BEAMS (Beach Management Services) must achieve high international standards by reducing existing pollutants on beaches areas.

The BEAMS setting up is primary goal to promote the sustainable development in coastal regions. The authorities of beach management trying to achieve the high standards in four categories of environmental management, environmental education, solid waste management in beaches, including cleanliness, safety and security of beachgoers, bathing water quality standards.
Focusing on ‘Beach Rejuvenation Plan’ that also means development of beach facilities, reduction and regulations of beach littering and undertaking day to day cleaning operations in beaches.
The Collector explains the delegation of clean beach is the primary indicator of coastal environmental quality and management. Coastal regions are highly susceptible to litter accumulation.
The views of such wastage will not only effects on the beach environment but also it will leads to reduce the tourism value drastically.
The experts team of BEAMS informed to the Collector, It is control the various types of pollution in beaches by effective solid waste management, utilization and bring significant awareness on environment protection and sensitize beachgoers of ecosystems and biodiversity,
At the RK Beach and Rushikonda beaches and the project would be carried out in association with the local authorities. The Collector welcomed the delegation and assured to extent cooperation from the administration.
