Vizag city recorded with coldest day on Monday (8th-Jan-2018), in the Airport recorded with 14.2° Celsius lowest temperature at not just this season but also in the recent years.
The official says the temperature will likely to goes with some extents of low in coming 2 days. With 18.8°Celsius lowest temperature registered in sea closest area, Waltair on Monday.
The city was covered with a thick fog in many places on Monday and weather was low of 15° Celsius in the past few days at the Vizag Airport area.
Met department sources indicating as, it was 14.4 degrees Celsius in the past two days at the Vizag Airport on Monday, the low temperature was at 14.2° and The high temperature was 27.4°C recorded at the Vizag Airport.
“Because of the fog during the nights, we have been facing problems and are closing our business one-and-a-half hours before, while the normal closing time of 10.30 pm,” – P Ramu Naidu said, a fruit vendor at Venkojipalem area in the city.
The city workers at Railway Station, Bus Complex and other market places were seen with warming themselves by fire camps. The traffic was also been affected in the past few days at night low temperature.
B Ramakrishna, a morning walker at the Railway Stadium said “This type of temperatures in January is common, but the sudden dip in the weather conditions is showing the impact during the day as well as people in these parts of the country aren’t used to the chill”. He further added the dense fog was causing to unclear visibility on the roads and driving in such conditions is dangerous.
