‘Vizag Going Pink’ Was Got Huge Response At Beach Road


The third edition of ‘Vizag Going Pink’ was held at beach road on Sunday morning with over 3,000 women and children’s.

In this event, 3 km, 5 km, 10 km and 21 km runs were flagged off by fitness enthusiast “Milind Soman” and “Kinjarapu Prabhakar”, ACP (traffic).

Several mothers reported to participate at the starting, opposite “Viswapriya Function Hall” in the early morning with chill weather. Even some of them has come up with their babies by strapping to their bodies is represents the spirit.

Anjana Pushpam from Hyderabad participated in this marathon with carrying 8 month her old son in the baby carrier. And she said “This is my third year of participation in “Pinkathon”. Last year, I was four months pregnant and took part in the 3K category. It is very encouraging to see so many women get together and participate in the program. It has certainly helped me focus on my fitness and health before and after delivery.”

It was proud to know that several school children’s were participated i n different categories of the marathon. Sri Vismaya Gadhiraju who is 6years old attempted for 5K run which was given a Spirit and said “This was my second marathon run and I felt very excited”.

And Her sister Sri Vennela, 14years old had completed the 10 K run and is now focusing on the 20 K category for her next marathon.

And also a lucky draw was held for the participants where the winners rewarded from “Tanishq”. And the first prize winners in the 21 k, 10k, 5k and 3k runs were goes to Navya, MD Heenakausar, P.P. Harshini and P.K. Tejaswini, respectively. The event was organised by Arena Events and United Sisters Foundation.
