G.V.M.C is developing more Public toilets For Public Needs


GVMC is developing more toilets especially where the larger people moves.

Regarding to the Swachh Survekshan in 2017 GVMC constructing more toilets to propel the third position by achieving ODF.

According to the HINDU news, At near “Simhachalam Railway Station”, constructed toilet that has facilities of bathing for men and women with the cost of Rs.10 Lakh. The container toilets introduced at first time in the city. DCI provided five container toilets under SCR. with the funds of HPCL, CSR another 10 toilets are getting ready. “80 to 90 toilets are being taken up this year providing all facilities to make availability at places where the peoples are frequently visited” M. Hari Narayanan., Municipal Commissioner

“The toilets will be provided at places where there is more tourist footfall”. – Mr. Hari Naraynan said..

The Commissioner said, “Also it is important to keep clean and neat toilets to remain the ODF status which the city got”.

Mr. Hari Naraynan said that “Container toilets will be ready for peoples where there is more need, but cannot be construct by owing to space constraint”. Rushikonda tourist hub, MVP Colony Ruthu Bazar, Central Park, Simhachalam places are held through the many of festivals over the year.

The number of public toilets has increased from 256 to 334 during the “Swachh Bharat” Mission’s in the last two years. In the last year, total 80 toilets were providing with the facilities of electricity, tiles, water, ramps etc. including some of community toilets. but as the result, now focusing on floating population.
